Bangalore Residents encountering malfunction in e-payment of paying property tax

While paying tax online, if the owner of the property in Bangalore doesn\’t have new PID number, the old PID number may be given. All property knowledge is fed to the system already. RR No, water link details wanted

From this year forwards, property taxpayers have to be compelled to update their RR number (electricity metre number) and water connection details whereas paying tax. This is often to trace the real estate property tax payment and conjointly link it to water and power supply, as stated by BBMP officers.

This helps the BBMP track property tax defaulters. Folks realizes the importance of paying property tax once their power supply or water connection is hindered. This happens after they fail to pay tax as stated by BBMP official.
